Orgasmic Birthing
Once again, Twitter has opened my mind even further. Today, Clintus retweeted a link to a Times Online article about women having orgasmic births.
Just last night I posted this photo on my Tumblr about Freedom. Adam Curry has been talking about freedom a lot on the DSC over the past year(s). It’s something we think we have, but that is far from the truth.
I often state that I don’t conform, I’m different, and I think other people should be too. The majority of the time I am different.
I will pick up litter on the ground and put it in the trash. Even if it isn’t mine.
I don’t own a car, but I do drive them. I do pay for petrol. I do keep “The (metaphorical) Machine” running. It breaks me inside.
We’re told as children that watching T.V. will ‘rot our brains’. We ignore it. These days many of us only have a T.V. to watch recorded content on. Even if we skip all the ads and stupid news drivel, we’re still told in fictional television shows that screaming, pain, and doctors are all a part of childbirth. That’s what I figured until today.
Folks, figure nothing. Always know there is another way.
In the aforementioned article — do read it — it mentions a woman having an extremely pleasurable birthing, albeit pain-free. Previously, I’d heard of home births and water births with people such as midwives, but never a birth that featured orgasms. If I were a woman, I wouldn’t want it any other way. Would you?
A link at the top of the article takes you to a short blog post which then leads you to orgasmicbirth.com. There, you’ll find a trailer for the film of the same name. The DVD of the film is available in multiple formats, languages, and region codes. The website also has many answers and a community surrounding the subject.
There’s always someone you know that’s pregnant. Right now, the first person that comes to mind is Gary Vaynerchuk’s wive — Lizzy. Maybe someone you know will consider this method of birth.
Why conform to the ‘norm’? It’s boring.
