Hugs-only at SXSW 2010
I’ve mentioned before that I don’t like shaking hands with people. In short, it’s stale and some men crush my hands. So, I prefer hugs.
The conversion from shaking to hugging hasn’t moved as quickly as I’d have liked it to, but it is moving.
Thus, I’ve decided I’m going to only be giving and accepting hugs at SXSW this year. (Watch my video about what I’ll be doing there.) When I told this to Rachel she said “What if people don’t want to be hugged?”. Well, if that’s the case, then cross your arms like the photo below and I’ll just start conversing with you rather than starting with a physical greeting.
I hope to get/give LOTS of hugs, and don’t see any crosses (like the one above).
