Hugs-only at SXSW 2010

Friday, March 12th, 2010

I’ve mentioned before that I don’t like shaking hands with people. In short, it’s stale and some men crush my hands. So, I prefer hugs.
The conversion from shaking to hugging hasn’t moved as quickly as I’d have liked it to, but it is moving.
Thus, I’ve decided I’m going to only be giving and accepting hugs [...]

I need an online calendar that supports multiple timezones

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

Every time I go to Google Calendar (gCal) it asks me if I want to change my default timezone to US Central Time. I don’t click ‘yes’ or ‘no’ because I don’t want it to mess up all my past and future calendar entries.
My current calendar workflow is as follows:

I want Good News Week online!

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Dear Channel 10,
I’ve pretty much always loved you (and Channel 7; CH9 sucks). Hence, I hope we can come to some agreement with my following proposal.

Don’t add the ‘Photas’ app on Facebook

Monday, February 1st, 2010

Rah! I seem to be using Facebook less and less over the past year.
I don’t ‘poke’ anyone anymore (I used to love doing that), I don’t upload photo albums anymore (I use PixelPipe to distribute my mobile photos to photo sharing websites, such as Facebook), and I don’t usually strike up a conversation with friends/fans [...]

Are You Listening?

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

See that ‘listen now’ button above this text? That’s new, hey! Oooooo!
While reading some posts on Brandice’s blog I noticed she had the same button. Curiously, I clicked. Apparently the one on Brandice’s blog is broken. Nevertheless, I investigated some more.
Odiogo (the name reminds me of Odeo; long-time podcasters will reminisce with that) is a [...]

Please Unrestrict the World’s Content!

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

World. World… Yes, I’m talking to every single one of you!
For years I’ve had to live with the fact that Australia is treated like a second-rate citizen. Typically it’s because of the United States of America having a walled country in terms of content. Australia was settled by the British, but in the 21st [...]
